Our Story

In the summer of 2013, Marquita met a child named Luke while working at a special needs summer camp. Marquita observed him sitting quietly like a gentle giant; she could not help but notice that there was something unique about him. After two weeks, his time at the camp was coming to an end. While picking Luke up from camp, his mother inquired about continuing in-home work with Luke.

Working with children with autism can be challenging, but it is also gratifying. One of the most important things she has learned with many years of experience is the importance of individualized care. Luke – and all of the children that she has served – have their own set of strengths, challenges, and needs. It’s crucial to take the time to get to know each child and develop a personalized approach to their care.

Here at L.U.K.E.S. ABA Therapy, we must continuously understand that progress with children diagnosed with autism can be slow and gradual. It’s essential to celebrate every small victory, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Over time, these small steps can add to significant progress, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to see a child with autism achieve their goals and thrive.

Meeting Luke in 2013 birthed L.U.K.E.S. ABA Therapy in 2022. Our goal is to service children across the world with the help of our therapists and certified supervisors. The journey and love will continue to be shared with unique kids everywhere.
